Saudi Arabia Launched Global T20 League Worth $500 Million
Saudi Arabia has officially announced the launch of a new T20 cricket league named the Global T20 League. Reports suggest that Saudi Arabia is set to invest $500 million in this cricket league. This investment also includes partnerships with major cricket boards, such as the Australian Cricket Board, Pakistan Cricket Board, and the Indian Cricket Board.
According to Saudi Prince, this league aims to become the biggest cricket league in the world in the coming years. Currently, IPL and PSL are considered the top cricket leagues, but Saudi Arabia is determined to establish the Global T20 League as the number one cricket league globally.
However, a major challenge lies ahead. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) does not allow its players to participate in foreign leagues. Without Indian players, the Indian audience may not show much interest in the tournament.
For the Global T20 League to dominate the cricketing world, it is essential for the BCCI to allow Indian players to participate. Their inclusion will significantly boost the league’s viewership and popularity worldwide.
